Use Case-Smart Offices&Buildings
Challenges
Smart buildings have higher requirements on security, space utilization, energy efficiency, and facility maintenance. Smart building management based on footfall analytics is the main trend in this field.
Managers need to know:
- real-time data on the number of people entering and exiting the buildings, as well as distribution
- occupancy or usage of meeting rooms and public facilities such as shared offices, reading rooms, and restrooms
In the realm of data collection, office buildings prioritize information security and privacy to a higher degree compared to ordinary physical spaces. While utilizing a vision-based people counting system ensures high accuracy, it may also give rise to privacy concerns. This presents a challenge that requires innovative solutions.
Solution
Highly accurate 3D people counting sensors, deployed above the entrances and exits of buildings, floors, corridors, and important areas such as meeting rooms to collect footfall and occupancy data.
Key features :
- Enhanced privacy mode is activated, which ensures that a black image with only some counting boxes and lines are visible (as shown in the bottom right image)
- People, objects, and anything in the scene are completely invisible
- People counting data are processed anonymously
Note that only TD2000 G2 can support the enhanced privacy feature which may be extended to other products. Pease check with our service representatives or write email to info@tdintelligence.com for the availability of the feature should you use other models.
Benefits
Ensuring the full protection of privacy and confidential information, footfall data analytics contribute to achieving smart management of office buildings:
-
- Having knowledge of the number of people entering and exiting and real-time distribution helps improve security
- Energy regulation based on actual occupancy enables cost savings
- Maximum utilization of meeting rooms and shared spaces
- Timely maintenance of public facilities
