Use Case-Livestock Breeding
Challenges
Conventional livestock breeding relies on manual statistics and management, which is inefficient and costly, and cannot meet the needs of modern large-scale breeding and standardized management.
This use case is a pig farm located in Guangdong, China that needs a digital system to obtain in real time data such as the number of livestock, their health status, and feed consumption to improve the efficiency of scale breeding, reduce risks and potential illness of pigs, and reduce management costs.
Solution
The solution uses TDI’s intelligent all-in-one sensor to monitor the breeding area and livestock, based on machine vision and deep learning to perform precise counting of livestock and behavior recognition.
This enables:
- precise counting of pigs through facial recognition
- recognition of the consumption and remaining status of feed in the feeder
- recognition of abnormal behaviors such as prolonged immobility of pigs
Note that this solution involves using TDI’s product lines which may have not yet been available in your local area. Please check with our service representatives or write email to info@tdintelligence.com for the readiness of relating product models in your regions.
Benefits
Digitalized system based on TDI’s intelligent sensors greatly increases management efficiency and reduces labor costs, helping to promote large-scale and standardized breeding.
- More efficient and accurate counting of livestock reduces labor and management costs
- Health assessment and disease warning of livestock improves breeding quality and reduces risks
- Intelligent feeding of feeders improves management efficiency
